Hola
Getting ready this morning to go pick up our rental car. After watching these people over here drive I must admit I‘m happy I will be doing my first bit of driving early on a weekend morning when most of them will still be sleeping. At least I hope they will be sleeping and not still partying on Saturday morning after Friday night.
We spent most of Yesterday afternoon and evening walking around Madrid and I have attached some photos of a very beautiful city.
If New York is the city that never sleeps then what is this place?
It looks very lovely at night and the streets are crawling with revellers. Joani and I caught the early sitting for a Flamenco show. We went in at 7:45pm, were served Dinner and caught a really cool show which ended at about 10:15. Then we were shown the door while the waiting staff already started setting up for the later show that started at 10:45 and went late into the night. The show itself was quite interesting as the men all dressed in black looking like pallbearers and the woman wore bright colored dresses and lots of makeup, looking like porcelain dolls. When the dancing started though, all thoughts of funerals or playing with dolls went out the window. There was quite a lot of preening and posing and the only type of playing that might have come to mind could only happen behind closed doors with dim lights and suggestive music. AHEM… You get the point.
Hope you enjoy the photos.
Garry
