Hello all
This is a travel alert. It has been 18 months since Joani and I got back from our trip across Spain and Portugal with a side order of North Africa. It feels a lot longer since we have been away. But on a much brighter note, we are getting ready for our next trip.
I am sending out this email since some of the people on this list have asked me if I again will be sending back stories and photos . I will admit that I have a ton of fun narrating our travels so that is exactly what this email is for. >>>> It is a warning to anyone on this list who doesn't want to receive this travel blog. Just reply back letting me know and I will take you off this list and not clutter up your inbox.

Our Destination this year is France so......

Our Destination this year is France so......

We are leaving Wednesday June 9th to
. Then we rent a car and head out on the road. We have one night in a Chalet in the mountains where we are going to see a mountain stage 
. Next it's on to the south of France for a week. Nice, Cannes, Monaco, Marseille and Arles where in no particular order we will drink more wine
where my favourite artist ( Vincent Van Gogh ) Painted my favourite
painting ( Café Terrace at Night)!!
Did I sound Starstruck??? Was there the proper amount of awe in what I wrote???
I hope so. This will be one of the highlights of everywhere that I have travelled. This café still exists in Arles and Joani and I will go there for lunch, have some cheese, drink some wine and get our waiter to take our picture in the same area where this picture was painted in 1888.I'd like to say I'm speechless but obviously this email would be a lot shorter if I was.
Moving on... from the south of France we head north to Bordeaux for more wine.

God I hope I don't end up looking like this . 
For any of you wondering or worrying . I intend to do my driving in the morning and wining and dining in the evening.
After Bordeaux it is one night in Tour and then back to Paris for 4 more nights. In that last 3 days we intend to see the Eiffel tower
, the last day of the Tour De France when the riders circle the Champs Elysees,
and anything else we might have missed on our first time through.
Three weeks ... I hope it's enough time.
