Subject: From Alhambras to Gibraltar
Hola
I'm unsure how to start this. When I last wrote you I was heading for the Alhambra. (The Muslim castle) I have done that, gone from there to Gibraltar, drove on to Tarifa where we caught a ferry to Tangiers, Morrocco and now I`m in Lagos Portugal with so many stories rolling around my brain I don`t know where to begin. I find I actually love writing this stuff down because it etches the memories into my brain as I write them and allows me to remember them longer and more clearly, so if this stuff bores some of you as I have mentioned before, hit the delete button. As a matter of fact, keep your finger real close to your delete key because I have lots I want to remember and so I`m going to send all the important stuff to you in a series of 3 emails. Joani says we have seen stuff that is life changing and I can't disagree.
This email is 4 photos of Alhambras. the first shows my muse ( Joani) on a castle tower overlooking the town of Granada.
The 2nd is just a great shot of the town ( I keep calling it a town but it`s actually a city).
The 3rd shot is through an archer`s hole in the Muslim castle
which I also thought was a cool shot and it reminded it me that this place was not only a castle but a fortress that could be defended in a siege. The 4th shot is my last of Alhambras and it was from the an area of the castle where the rulers family hung out. Just a small section of the personal garden.
Not bad digs!!
The 5th and final shot in this series was to take you as we went from Granada to Gibraltar. This gives you the same first view as we had of the `` Rock of Gibraltar ``.
It is awesome the first time you see it. Quite breathtaking!
I`m going to try to bore you with another email that I will write tomorrow morning over breakfast which will take you from Gibraltar to Tangiers Morrocco. But for now...
Hasta Manana
Garry
